Dennis VanAuken

Leadership Consultant

Dennis VanAuken has been a full-time learning leadership consultant since September, 2008, and has served as a part time Leadership consultant since July, 2016. He has facilitated leadership training, pastoral planning and consulting services for bishops, parishes, pastors, and lay leaders in over 80 dioceses. Prior to joining the Catholic Leadership Institute, he was President and Business Performance Mentor of Positive Solutions, LLC, a company which specialized in helping businesses propel people, processes and profitability forward. Dennis' leadership experience in the corporate business sector spans over 40 years; serving software and service companies, where he has applied successful business methods to grow and develop successful organizations. His expertise includes strategic planning, operational management, and executive coaching. He has served as President of the Board of Directors for two nonprofit organizations and held a seat on the Advisory Council of the Iowa Quality Center. He was a member of St. Matthew Pastoral Council for nine years and is currently secretary of St. Matthew Holy Name Society. Dennis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He lives with his wife Susie in Cedar Rapids, IA.
