Carol Salinas
Director of Project Management
For the past 5 years, Carol worked for the University of Wisconsin Health System as a Transformation Consultant/Project Manager. While working at UW Health System, she led a complete redesign of patient experience initiatives, from every area of the hospital including outpatient services. Additionally, she oversaw several projects including optimizing house-wide patient throughput, developing patient family events for integration into the new level III NICU, developing and implementing a mobility program for patients, and trailing the first Agile-style IT Sprint events for system optimization in the UW clinics. All of her work required her to keep the projects clearly focused on their patients and staff, ensure efficient utilization of resources through effective scoping and project planning, remain compliant with regulatory and governing bodies, and maintain an ever-present focus on quality and safety. Her client focused delivery approach earned her the honor of being named one of the top 20 emerging leaders in the health system.
Before working at the University of Wisconsin, Carol served as a Marketing Manager through 5 Stones for Lighthouse Catholic Media and earlier served as a senior event specialist for FOCUS. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Loras College and has recently earned her Six Sigma Black Belt Professional certification. Carol and her husband live with their 3 children in Rochelle, IL.
