Brendan Menuey

Originally from Staten Island, New York, Brendan Menuey began teaching religious education while a senior in high school. While in college at the University of Virginia, he worked as a Director of Youth Ministry and led multi-parish and diocesan programs and retreats.
Since 1998, Brendan has worked in the public school system as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal. He currently serves as a principal supervisor for a large suburban school system where he coaches and supports school leaders, leading professional development, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and being a thought partner for principals and assistant principals. He still volunteers in the religious education program at his home parish, St. Francis de Sales, in Purcellville, Virginia where his wife also teaches RE and sings in the parish choir.
Brendan holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs, a master’s degree in elementary education, and a doctorate in school administration and supervision, all from the University of Virginia. He and his wife are home-schooling their three children in Lovettsville, Virginia, where they also have rabbits, ducks, and chickens.
