““For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.””
Ephesians 5:8
Even in times of darkness, we know that the ever-constant light of our faith continues to guide us, support us, and inspire us. Christ’s Resurrection was a light after the dark. Today, that same light still shines through strong parishes, Church leaders who are adapting and being courageous for our faith, and through you, our Catholic Leadership Institute community.
On Wednesday, March 31st, at 9:00pm EDT, please join us for a special virtual Tenebrae service. Tenebrae comes from the Latin word for “darkness.” A Tenebrae service features prayer and a beautiful extinguishing of candles to symbolize walking alongside Jesus through Holy Week.
Perhaps the pain, the darkness, and the struggles of the Passion remind you of your own challenges this year. But remember, so too will the glorious Resurrection reflect the joy in your life and the light we still find in our world.
Join us on Wednesday for this prayerful reflection as we begin Holy Week and prepare to rejoice on Easter Sunday.
Just as our Savior was a light in the darkness, may God guide each of us in shining brightly for our faith!
