One of the reasons I said “yes” almost nine years ago to a vocation at Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) was because of the organization’s care for priests. I have a great love for the priests in my life – they have walked with me and my family in both joy and despair. You may be able to relate to this!
For over 20 years, CLI has been steadfast about caring for priests. Beginning with its earliest ministries, CLI has actively served nearly 20% of priests in the United States with world-class leadership training.
There are a variety of ways in which we offer that support – from one-on-one coaching and learning with and from brother priests, to a yearly spiritual and professional development retreat for our bishops that offers them a chance to learn how to lead through pressing issues of our time.
All of this is focused on helping priests live their vocation with greater purpose, direction, and joy. Through our on-the-ground experience, CLI has discovered that coaching can be one of the most profound and transformative moments for a priest in his vocation.
