(Malvern, PA) Catholic Leadership Institute is pleased to welcome five bishops to the apostolate’s Episcopal Advisory Board:
- Most Rev. Nelson Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia
- Most Rev. David Toups, Bishop of Beaumont
- Most Rev. Timothy Freyer, Auxiliary Bishop of Orange
- Most Rev. Mark O’Connell, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston
- Most Rev. John Nhàn Trần, Auxiliary Bishop of Atlanta
The Episcopal Advisory Board was founded in 2008 to provide guidance, wisdom, and support to the mission of Catholic Leadership Institute. The bishops join Episcopal Moderator, Bishop Robert Gruss, Bishop of Saginaw, and 11 other U.S. bishops on the board.
All bishops serve a three-year renewable term and meet annually to discuss the plans for the future, offering advice and counsel to the Board of Directors and Leadership Team. Each member is available for periodic consultation to ensure Catholic Leadership Institute’s ministry faithfully and credibly serves ecclesial leadership. In addition, the bishops assist with philanthropic appreciation. The Episcopal Moderator represents, when needed, Catholic Leadership Institute at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Vatican.
Dan Cellucci, CEO shared, “As successors of the apostles, our bishops play an essential leadership role in our Church and in the guidance of this apostolate. We are grateful to our entire advisory board and in particular these bishops for their wisdom, experience, and important perspective. Their leadership will help our support remain rooted and focused on our first and most important core value – love of Christ and His Church. I look to the future of our apostolate with the same hope I have for the future of our Church, guided by the hope of Jesus Christ ‘which does not disappoint’ – Rom 5:5.”
Please pray for our bishops and for all who lead our apostolate with wisdom and prayer.
