This week, the 700 Club/CBN did a feature on Chris Lowney’s new book, Everyone Leads, and wanted a case study of a parish that has been successfully revitalized. At Chris’ suggestion, they profiled St. Raymond of Penafort in Philadelphia, PA.
If you would like to see an example of the difference your support of Catholic Leadership Institute makes in the lives and ministries of others, watch this awesome video.
Don't be surprised if you find yourself excited about your faith and the possibilities after watching -- I know I was!
St. Raymond’s pastor, Fr. Chris Walsh, is a graduate of Catholic Leadership Institute's world-class leadership training program, Good Leaders, Good Shepherds, as well as a part-time Leadership Consultant for Catholic Leadership Institute.
Two members of his team are graduates of Catholic Leadership Institute’s lay leadership program, Tending the Talents:
- Arleen Daniels
- Michelle Downing
Two additional members are currently active in Catholic Leadership Institute’s Parish Missionary Disciples formation program to form lay leaders to share Jesus and accompany others on their discipleship journey:
- Deacon Bill Bradley
- Richara Krajewski
In addition, the data they reference in the video is from Catholic Leadership Institute’s Disciple Maker Index (which is also featured in Chris Lowney’s book). In 2015, St. Raymond’s took the survey to identify their strengths and opportunities. The parish took it again in 2017 to measure their progress against their goals. As you can imagine after watching the video, the results in just two years were very impressive!
Thank you for your prayers and support which help pastors like Fr. Chris Walsh and parishes like St. Raymond’s to "adapt to changing culture and thrive."
